What does Design vs Cancer do with it’s profits?

As a for-profit with non-profit intentions, we want to ensure we always have a high level of transparency. We give all of our after tax profits to Creativity Helps, a non-profit foundation we have established to aid our sponsored families.

What does the rest of the money go towards?

As with any company, for-profit or non-profit, we have operating expenses. Here is a breakdown of those expenses: Blank Shirts, Screen Printing Cost, Shipping Costs, Shipping Bags & Boxes, Garment Labels, Folding Fees, Marketing Costs, Legal and Accounting Fees, Artist Royalties, Office Supplies, and many other costs that go into running a successful organization.

Where are your products made and printed?

Our apparel products are all designed, manufactured, and printed by some amazing folks in the United States. We make sure to work with the best printers we know to ensure you are always receiving quality products.

What is the passion behind Design vs Cancer?

We believe in making a difference in someone’s life. We felt God has blessed our own careers, success, and the ability to wake up every morning and do WHAT WE LOVE, that we wanted to put our time, treasures, and talents to good use. We found that a lot of other designers feel the same way, and together, as a community, we are making an impact. 1 Peter 4:10 defines our mission statement.

Who designs your art?

We partner with designers from all around the world. We both approach designers, and are approached by designers, to create work for our cause. Because we (the founders) are designers ourselves, we wanted to ensure the respect given to designers for their time and talents, and every designer is paid a royalty for their artwork.

Is your website secure?

Design vs Cancer takes website security issues very seriously and uses the latest industry-standard SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption to protect your personal information. Please notice the small pad-lock icon in the locked position that will appear in the lower- right corner or upper-right corner of your browser during each of the pages of the checkout process.

What is your privacy policy?

We will never sell your personal information to any third party. The only information that is shared, is your shipping address with our shipping provider, USPS & UPS, in order to ship your product to you. We also need to input your credit information (which is fully encrypted) to our credit card processor, Stripe, so that Design vs Cancer can process your payment.

How much does shipping cost?

For orders within the Continental U.S., the S&H rate is FREE for standard USPS. International shipping is provided with a few shipping options based on USPS rates.

If I order multiple products, do they ship in one package?

Did you order more than one item?. If so, thanks! You’re awesome. We always aim to ship your order in one package. If it just won’t fit, you may receive an additional package shipped at the same time.

Why is Design vs Cancer a for-profit company and not a non-profit?

What many people don’t realize is the very intricate guidelines, stipulations, and requirements to operate as a non-profit. Our initial choice was to go this direction, but after legal and financial consulting, we had realized our model could actually give just as much with less restriction as a for-profit company. As a for profit, we have more freedom in giving, and more agility to move money quickly to the people who need it. By setting up a separate non-profit entity, Creativity Helps, we also have the possibility to help other causes through other projects.

How long does it take to get my items?

We package orders at the end of every week and ship them out at roughly 8:30am PST. Time in transit for shipping from our warehouse to your front door can take anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks, depending on where your product is being shipped.

What Quality of Apparel do you guys print on?

We print on high-quality, tag-less, apparel that are made of either 100% ringspun cotton, poly/cotton mix, or tri-blend fabric. The fit is awesome, and they are way too comfortable for words! Our goal is to get you your new favorite shirt in your closet!

Can I exchange my Apparel for another size?

Due to the fact that our apparel is printed to each specific order, we do not keep a large stock of additional items/sizes. While we strive to provide you with the best customer experience, we do not guarantee we will have a replacement shirt for you in a new size. If we do, we absolutely will swap you out. Therefore, exchanges will not be guaranteed if you order the wrong size. Make sure you thoroughly research, check, double check, and ask plenty of questions to make sure that you are ordering the correct fit. We will provide either a refund (minus shipping costs) for your item if you’d like to return it, or exchange it for a different item in the size you need.

How is your apparel printed?

We print all of our apparel using top of the line screen-printing processes with water based discharge and discharge inks. Our shirts are ridiculously comfortable, we wouldn’t produce anything we wouldn’t want and pay for ourselves.
